Atlanta to the moon

Dance

To say that Moses Pendleton was destined for greater things would be an understatement. Raised on a dairy farm in northern Vermont, he co-founded his first dance company, the Pilobolus Dance Theatre, in 1971. Nine years later, he realized MOMIX, a captivating group of dancer/illusionists. From 3-D IMAX movies to Hanes commercials to performances with Charles Dutoit and the Montreal Symphony, MOMIX has built an impressive résumé over the past 26 years. The company's current show, Lunar Sea, at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts Tues., JAN. 30, relies on optical illusions and a mesmerizing black-lighting technique to simulate an ocean/moon odyssey. $16-$28. 7:30 p.m. 900 Broadway, Columbus. 706-256-3612. www.rivercenter.org.
