Atlanta Zine Fest

When: Sat., June 8, 1 p.m. and Sun., June 9 2013
Ever since the fifth grade, Big Blonde label owner and Atlanta Zine Library founder Amanda Mills has devoted much of her life to collecting, creating, and archiving the world of handmade publications. From June 8-9, Mills and dozens of speakers descend upon the Ericson Clock building in Castleberry Hill for the inaugural Atlanta Zine Fest. Panel discussions on topics including the history of street art and guerilla marketing, tactics to DIY literature, feminist perspectives and criticism, and examining the place that zines hold in the age of social media are all on the schedule. — Chad Radford
