Of all things glittery and shiny we witnessed just before the economy officially flew off the rails, nothing was glitterier or shinier than last falls LE FLASH in Castleberry Hill. Dozens of artists braved a steady drizzle to pull off a night of light-based art, installation and performance that encompassed the entire gallery-packed neighborhood. Curators Stuart Keeler and Cathy Byrd marshaled an army of volunteers to demonstrate the power of doing a whole lot with very little. Whats more, the festivities spilled over Northside Drive (gasp!) to encompass Cleopas Johnson Park and the John Hope community. And the entire festival was carried off on the slimmest of recession-era budgets. www.leflash-Atlanta.com.
