Best band to reignite the indie scene: Warehouse

Staff Pick

Warehouse is Atlanta's best new band because it is A BAND - ALL CAPS. In lesser hands, a group with two guitars, bass, drums, and a vocalist would be another EAV rock 'n' roll cliché, rather than a force to be reckoned with. But Warehouse has the energy and intelligence to take the basic rock structure and shape it into music that makes a room feel reckless and electric. Warehouse writes songs that keep your eyes off your phone and glued to the stage. At a Warehouse show there's no need to check texts or scroll through Instagram to see what else is going on because the best thing going on is right in front of you. Warehouse is a chaotic and noisy reminder that electric guitars are supposed to be electrifying. Bass and drums are supposed to make you move. Vocals are supposed to grab your attention and interact with the music, not distract from it. Vocalist Elaine Edenfield's smiles will make you want to high-five the world and believe in the power of rock 'n' roll again.
