Best Burrito

We can't yet concede to give this award to anyone other than the now-defunct TORTILLAS, a staple of Atlanta's dining scene for nearly 20 years and the first restaurant to give our city a taste of California-style burritos. The grungy look of the place never stopped fans from all walks of life from lining up for their favorite burrito or quesadilla. Our personal fave was the shrimp with guacamole (we could write a long lament alone about their spicy, chunky guac) and green sauce -- though whether the red beans or the pintos were better was always a matter of debate. Sigh. Ponce just isn't the same without it.

Formerly located at 774 Ponce de Leon Ave.
