CAFE 101 hasn't had as much attention as some other places, but absolutely deserves its share of the spotlight. Located in the quintessential Buford Highway ruins of a defunct restaurant, this eclectically decorated Taiwanese restaurant serves stellar Szechuan specialties such as chewy Szechuan dan-dan noodles drizzled with a spicy sesame and garlicic-laden sauce, confitlike fish filets with soft tofu in a hot bean sauce packed with fresh ginger, and gigantic mountains of finely shaved ice topped with everything from beans to fresh kiwi.
