Going to a show at the VARIETY PLAYHOUSE is like going to a friend’s living room it feels good to be there. There’s not a lot of attitude in the design of the place, or with the staff; it’s just wel-coming and comfortable. There’s also not a bad seat in the house, the sound system is impeccable and you can usually get as close to the stage as you want. Best of all is the eclectic mix of music. Just look at the upcoming schedule: Henry Rollins, Stereolab, Nanci Griffith and Hanson. That’s variety.
