Best Cuban: Las Palmeras

Staff Pick

LAS PALMERAS may also be the best value in Midtown. The tiny, ambiance-free restaurant — not surprisingly located in the neighborhood that was home to Atlanta’s invasion of Cuban refugees in the ‘70s — serves inexpensive, savory home-style cooking. Our favorites remain the masitas de puerco, the boliche and the fried chicken. The tamales are the best apps; the flan is flantastic. On a temperate evening, the patio is idyllic.
