Best Dim Sum

Buford Highway is rife with Chinese restaurants serving the midday meal of bite-size dim sum, which literally translated means "touch of the heart." CANTON HOUSE stands out from the throng, though. That the crowd is largely Asian is always a good sign. The extensive array of dumplings and little dishes are served piping hot from carts stacked high. Among the selection of traditional offerings are some new-fangled creations like shrimp balls wrapped in bacon and little cinnamon rolls stuffed with red bean paste. Get there early on weekends to savor the freshest selection and avoid a long wait for a table.

4825 Buford Highway, Chamblee, 770-936-9030.
