Best Local Actor with a National Platform: Jack McBrayer

Staff Pick

Hailing from Macon, JACK MCBRAYER achieves the impossible on a week-by-week basis. As “Kenneth the page” on NBC's “30 Rock,” he routinely has the funniest lines of any actor on the show, and has become the breakout role among the more established likes of Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan and the show's innumerable Emmy-nominated guest actors. McBrayer's Kenneth combines a hilarious combination of Southern hillbilly stereotyping, religious fervor and TV trivia, but his wholesome innocence perpetually gives him the upper hand over his neurotic showbiz-obsessed co-stars. McBrayer's amusing supporting work in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall suggests he has a long character-actor career ahead of him.
