The always resourceful CAROLYN COOK not only gave two of the best performances of the year, she made them flip sides of each other, with her bon vivant educator in Horizon Theatre's Madame Melville serving as an upbeat opposite number to her self-lacerating alcoholic in 7 Stages' A Delicate Balance. And if it weren't enough to be one of the city's most versatile actresses, she runs Theatre du Reve, Atlanta's French-language theater company.
