Best Neighborhood Bar

At CHARLIE G'S 11TH STREET PUB, you'll find friendly bartenders, a comfortable atmosphere and a mix of clientele -- gay, straight, young, old, black, white, Hispanic, cops, soccer players. This corner bar in Midtown has a fine selection of beers, liquor and food, without the pretentious atmosphere of most Crescent Avenue clubs. The menu includes bar grub (burgers) and comfort food (blackened chicken fettuccini). Not everyone is from the neighborhood, so don't worry -- you won't get called on it. As the barkeep has been known to say, "You're not from the neighborhood? Then move!"

1041 W. Peachtree St., 404-724-9060.
