Best New Place to Carry a Concealed Weapon: Restaurants that serve alcohol

Staff Pick

Prior to July 1, Georgia law presented the state’s 300,000 gun-permit holders with a stark choice: Dine without a gun and risk being defenseless in the event of an all-too-common in-restaurant shootout, or starve to death. Determined never to force another Georgia gun-permit holder to make this modern-day Sophie’s choice, Georgia’s courageous legislators passed House Bill 89, allowing permit holders to carry guns into RESTAURANTS THAT SERVE ALCOHOL, as well as parks and public transit. Now Georgia gun lovers no longer have to choose between the Second Amendment and a second helping from the buffet at Golden Corral.
