Best New Restaurant 

Local powerhouse chef Shaun Doty ditched his downtown Mumbo Jumbo digs and, with a quick redo from The Johnson Studio, moved into the deserted Angelo & Maxie's space in an office building poised on Pershing Point. Doty's a sharp guy -- his fashionably casual and wholly affordable MIDCITY CUISINE is just what Atlanta needed. A glass-paneled wraparound bar anchors the invitingly open (yet not too noisy) room with a swank, sedate color scheme. The American bistro-ish menu has a classic feel that covers a lot of territory. Best bets include the cut-to-order prosciutto, the ethereal lasagne Bolognese and just about anything from the dessert list.
