PICK ME UP: "A man that shit I swallowed got my heart beating fast as hell," a man told a police officer on Lee Street. When he made the statement, he was sitting on the back of a prisoner transport police truck. The officer called his supervisor and medics. The man went to Grady Memorial Hospital. No further details.
HOME SWEET HOME: "The vehicle had a lot of trash, feces, urine, food, throwup, drug paraphernalia and a broken window," a police officer wrote. The white Ford Taurus was parked in a secured lot for City of Atlanta Planning and Research vehicles at Trinity Avenue and Broad Street. A 55-year-old homeless man told police that he had been sleeping in the city-owned car for more than a month. The homeless man went to jail on a trespassing charge. "The vehicle will be removed by city workers and attempts will be made to salvage what they can," police wrote.
CLOCK O' LOVE: A police officer responded to a 911 call on West End Avenue. A 28-year-old woman said her neighbor "Cupid Time" was making unwanted advances toward her and she was concerned for her safety. Police spoke with Cupid Time and he denied the allegations. No one else could substantiate the woman's claims. "During my interview of Mr. Time, he seemed slightly demented or possibly mentally ill," the officer wrote. No charges filed because, the officer wrote, "There is no probable cause to arrest Cupid Time."
WHOLE LOTTO TROUBLE: A 50-year-old man known as "Johnny Lee Outlaw" said he was walking to cash his winning lottery tickets when two men approached him on Conley Street. Johnny Lee Outlaw said one man got his attention by saying, "Hey dad."
"Mr. Outlaw said that people in the neighborhood would call him 'dad' by nickname," the officer wrote. "Mr. Outlaw said he told the two [men] that he was going to the store to cash in his lottery tickets." Mr. Outlaw said the tall man wanted to see his lottery tickets — but he said no. At that moment, the tall man reportedly tried to snatch the lottery tickets out of Mr. Outlaw's hands. "While Mr. Outlaw was trying to flee to safety, he said he tripped and fell," the officer noted.
Mr. Outlaw said while he was on the ground, the two men beat him with belts and stole his lottery tickets. He said the men fled on foot.
According to the police report, Mr. Outlaw was out five lottery tickets worth a total of $38.
SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY: A 36-year-old man said he called a personal chat line while he was waiting for his cousin to pick him up from the Greyhound bus station. He said he talked with a woman he knows as "Little Florida" on the chat line — and Little Florida offered to give him a ride from the bus station if he gave her gas money. The man agreed. When Little Florida arrived, the man put all his personal belongings in her silver pickup truck and they drove away. The man said they stopped at a gas station on Northside Drive, and he went inside to pay for gas. While he was inside, Little Florida drove away with all his stuff. He says his stuff is worth $5,000 and Little Florida won't return his calls.
GOOFY ALIAS, MY DEAR: An officer noticed a woman near a vacant house on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. She wore a black hoodie, jeans and white sneakers. "As I passed the house, [the woman] started heading toward the rear of the vacant property," the officer wrote. "I stopped the woman, who stated her name was Hilarey Clinton, with a date of birth of 03-14-1965." The officer spoke with the woman's mother and found out the woman's name is not Hilarey Clinton.
TOP TEXT MESSAGE THREAT: "U Lyin bitch dat car was repor an esurance never heard or u when I c u on site ima get on dat head hoe." And also: "Bitch ima do u so bad u fuckin thirsty trout mouth ass hoe ima keep tryn u till u do somethin hoe get seen so I bust dat head." And finally: "tell me again in n person u dirty rat ima call da police an let dem know u filed a false report ima get my money worth u fuckn hoodrat."
THE BUS STOPS HERE: Two men said they were riding a Greyhound bus when another man stood up and said that he had weapons in his possession and he might blow up the bus. He stated that Americans have it coming to them. The suspect, 35, hails from Conover, N.C. Police charged him with terroristic threats and took him to jail.
