Thank God someone finally did something interesting with the futuristic Trust Company bank branch that’s been decaying on Monroe for a decade. Local restaurateur Bob Amick has re-imagined the flying saucer-like building as chic pizzeria PIEBAR. The adjoining patio is particularly eye-catching. The building’s original drive-thru “pods” are now rooftop dining, covered by a giant white circus tent. At night, blue and purple lights illuminate the tent, creating an ethereal and undeniably glamorous vibe.
