Best Place for Perpetual Happenings

Who needs to pay a $10 cover when you can experience just as big a freakshow in THE BACKSTREET PARKING LOT? From midnight until sunrise (and beyond) on weekend nights, a meandering flock of half-drunk nomads buzz into and out of the 24-hour club. (Their exits are a lot more entertaining than their entrances.) The 6 a.m. exodus proves the old Atlanta nightlife adage that all roads eventually lead to Backstreet. Best viewed from a balcony of the nearby Dakota, much to the chagrin of the building's residents.

845 Peachtree St., 404-873-1986.
