Best Pop Radio Station

The Beat 95.5 WBTS-FM

The Beat came on the scene at the zenith of the teen-bop, rap-pop we've come to love and hate in our lives. It was an edgier blend of pop sounds that weren't being played anywhere else. Although imitators have come along, 95.5 remains the first place to get your freak on with Missy Elliott or channel the angst of Eminem and then wash it all down with some Christina. Yeah, it's still mainstream stuff, but it's broken the mold of what the whitebread should be listening to. More than just a Top 40, rap, R&B station, the Beat is spinning dance remixes live every weekend at clubs around town.
