A gas delivery man twice reported seeing dead bodies around the TRI-STATE CREMATORY
in the north Georgia town of Noble. But it wasn't until last February that investigators entered the property and began uncovering body after body. Instead of being cremated, the bodies had been left to rot all over the crematory property. In all, 339 corpses were found scattered about, some in coffins, others in vaults, still others in makeshift pits. The crematory's operator, Ray Brent Marsh, is out on bail, awaiting trial and, we would presume, ducking for cover whenever he hears a car slow down outside his home.
