JAC.’s cute-as-a-button proprietor and namesake, Jaci Effron, welcomes newbies into her one-year-old Inman Park boutique with open arms, chatting up guests in a sweetly curious way that doesn’t make them run for the door. Effron concentrates her efforts on unpretentious independent design a skill the Atlanta native honed while working as a travel writer and stylist for five years in NYC. Replete with such thoughtful accessories as East Village-crafted Yarborough bangles, French solid perfume Crazylibellule and the Poppies, and such designers as Built by Wendy and Charlotte Ronson, the modestly sized shop feels like you’re raiding your big sister’s closet minus the beat-down she would deliver. Jac. is also mama-friendly: Tongue-in-cheek Wry Baby onesies and Jenness Farms goat-milk soaps and lotions, including the smile-inducing baby bum butter, dot her antique tables.
