For years, PURA VIDA has been one of Atlanta's most popular tapas restaurants, but who knew the approach to Sunday brunch would prove so equally successful? Maybe it's because brunchers have grown weary of egg-and-starch overload, and yearn for variety. Pura Vida has plenty of carbs yucca fries, pineapple roll French toast, churros con chocolate. But the real fun is in succulent tastes of ceviche “a la piedra” (tangy shrimp, tart citrus broth), or a delicate serving of batidos (fluffy scrambled eggs in cheese and iberico oil), or the “breakfast patties” de pato (duck sausage in a sour orange confit). Everything old is not only new again, but fresher, lighter, not as salty and definitely filling.
