You can hit a tapas restaurant practically anywhere in town these days, but none are as true to the Spanish vision as KROG BAR in the parking lot of Stove Works, which Kevin Rathbun opened as an adjunct to his eponymous restaurant. What makes Krog Bar so authentic? For one thing, its tiny and theres a heavy emphasis on wines, just as youd find in Sevilla, where the most popular tapas bars are so packed they incur involuntary frottage. Also, Rathbun focuses on simple quality the best Serrano ham, the best cheeses. We should mention that all items are cold and not all are Spanish. The place is too small for any kind of cooking. But if you want a quick transit to southern Spain, this is the place.
