Best Wait

The Flying Biscuit

1655 McLendon Ave.

Atlantans love their restaurants and descend on them en masse. Plenty of places try to make long waits less arduous, but the most pleasant one for killing time may be the Flying Biscuit in Candler Park. Waits for weekend breakfast/brunch can take up to an hour, but in front of the restaurant are a line of benches ideal for reading a newspaper or people-watching, and the companionable block of Candler Park features several funky used clothing and record stores eager to capitalize on window-shopping would-be diners. If it's raining, though, it won't be quite so idyllic.
