Kicking off a round of touring in support of the group’s latest album Underneath the Rainbow (out March 18 via Vice Records), Black Lips co-headline a special show featuring fellow Atlanta rock royals Deerhunter on Fri., March 7. Co-produced by the Black Keys’ Patrick Carney and partly recorded in Nashville, Underneath the Rainbow showcases Black Lips’ evolving sound, blending decidedly Southern garage rock with pop party hooks. This is the only show in the Lips’ current tour calendar that has Deerhunter on the bill, so don’t miss out on a rare opportunity to see two local legends share the same stage. Lonnie Holley opens the show.
