With seminal noise rock band Sonic Youth currently resting in a vague hiatus state following the marital divorce of its two central figures — Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore — no wave and experimental rock queen Gordon has revived her Body/Head project with celebrated improv rock and free jazz guitarist Bill Nace. Peddling dark and amorphous sounds that reflect both parties’ beautifully abstract roots, the duo rolls through Atlanta Tues., Oct. 1, on the heels of Coming Apart, the double-guitar-and-a-voice duo’s debut LP for Matador Records.
