She escaped from the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seven years ago, and now CAROLYN JESSOP comes to Decatur to share what she's learned. Jessop will be at Georgia Center for the Book to talk about her new work, Triumph: Life After the Cult – A Survivor's Lessons, which relates her experiences as one of the six wives of an abusive husband and FLDS leader, whom she was forced to marry at the age of 18. Jessop also discusses the back story of a major 2008 raid on Texas' Yearning for Zion Ranch, an FLDS outpost near Eldorado.
