Books: Crescent Dragonwagon

Wed., Jan. 9

Author and chef CRESCENT DRAGONWAGON delights in corn bread's down-home comfort in The Cornbread Gospels, a book full of foodie folklore and more than 200 recipes. Her name, a mid-'60s adolescent flight of fancy, couldn't be more fitting for a children's author of such titles as Strawberry Dress Escape. Besides the kid lit, Dragonwagon also penned the James Beard Award-winning Passionate Vegetarian. She visits the Margaret Mitchell House Wed., JAN. 9. Free-$10. Reception: 6 p.m. Lecture: 7 p.m. 990 Peachtree St. 770-578-3502. www.gwtw.org.
