Books: Nigella Lawson

Thurs., Dec. 10

English writer and television personality NIGELLA LAWSON is known for her relaxed and flirtatious approach to cooking and entertaining, winning her the tongue-in-cheek title "queen of food porn." After gaining popularity with her short-lived television program "Nigella Bites," Lawson went on to author numerous books including the best-selling How to Eat. Now she brings her newest opus, Nigella Christmas: Food, Family, Friends, Festivities, to the Atlanta History Center to share simple recipes and tips for the impending holidays. With her latest release, Lawson showcases a no-nonsense approach to tackling the reason for the season with easy-to-follow recipes, DIY presents and even a few edible ornaments. $40-$45. Reception, 6 p.m.; program, 7 p.m. 130 W. Paces Ferry Road. 404-814-4150. www.atlantahistorycenter.com.
