See & Do - Books: Roy Morris Jr. April 02 2010

Tues., April 13

Thanks to Mark Twain, we’re able to venture down the Mississippi River with Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer in antebellum Missouri. But most people don’t know the story of the man behind the pages. ROY MORRIS JR. signs and discusses his book, Lighting Out for the Territory, which reveals how Clemens became Twain through his own adventures on a riverboat and travels in the Nevada territory during the Civil War. Free-$10. 8 p.m. Atlanta History Center, 130 W. Paces Ferry Road. 404-814-4000. www.atlantahistorycenter.com.
