Former members of a heavy-metal band called Broadsword reunite for a funeral, only to discover a mystery with the potential to change their lives. Actor's Express artistic director Freddie Ashley directs the world premiere of Marco Ramirez's play Broadsword, which might be the most authentic-sounding name of a fake head-banging band I've ever heard. The cast features Chris Kayser, Stacy Melich, Justin Welborn, Rial Ellsworth, Dolph Amick and Bryan Brendle, but the show reportedly emphasizes double-dealing twists more than Spinal Tap-style buffoonery.
