The seven deadly sins of kid culture
great article: I enjoyed this a lot. We have a baby boy, and every time his eye catches the tv screen and he stops what he's doing, I feel guilty. Sometimes I want to throw the tv in the attic for about 10 years so his impressionable young eyes can't see the violence in commercials for slasher films or the bass-ackward gender stereotypes in sitcoms (women like shopping - ha ha! men like to grill meat - hilarious!). Good to know others are dealing with similar things.
And don't be afraid to be a fuddy-duddy. There's nothing bad about doing the right thing.
oh...no: I don't care what anyone else says, the Bratz franchise is going to bring the future as we know it to an end.
Get ready to see your daughters hanging out on street corners sucking big lollipops in fishnets and go-go boots asking her 'daddy' for money to get lip-injections and hair extensions.
I'm gonna raise my kid in a commune.
A Cooter takes on chambliss
Coke vs. pepsi: I love how you guys try to find new ways to distinguish the two "parties." With the exception of Ron Paul, they're all in the same game - big government. If you look into Dr. Paul's platform and voting record, I think you'd quickly stop this "partying" and write about things that really matter.

hoping for some honesty: Actually Chambliss is much more vulnerable than one might think. He has voted several times against measures that would allow funding for TBI, PTSD, enhanced body and vehicle armor, adequate funding for the VA hospitals, etc - as have all of the Georgia Republicans who always do whatever Karl Rove tells them.
I just wish Jones would be honest about his intentions. As John has previously pointed out, Vernon is way too smart to actually try to run against Chambliss. A man of color from inside the perimeter vs. a good ole boy georgia redneck - that's not gonna work and Jones well knows it. But he will siphon off support and donations up until he announces what he is really going to do.
