Comedy: Carl LaBove

Fri., July 27

At his father's suggestion, CARL LABOVE (pictured) tried his hand at stand-up at the age of 19. He performed in Galveston, Texas, on the same bill as the soon-to-be-legendary Sam Kinison and the two became close friends. Fifteen years after Kinison's passing, LaBove's comedy career is running strong. Like Robin Williams, he combines physical comedy and improvisation, and covers such topics as 24-hour strip clubs and self-defense classes for African wildebeests. LaBove continues his four-day visit to the Funny Farm Fri., JULY 27. Through July 29. $12-$15. Thurs., 8:30 p.m.; Fri. and Sun., 8 p.m.; Sat., 8 and 10:30 p.m. 608 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell. 770-817-4242.
