Comedy: Kids in the Hall

Sat., May 24

Arguably the funniest sketch comedians of the 1990s, the KIDS IN THE HALL avoided celebrity impressions in favor of strangely familiar eccentrics and no shortage of drag. Their HBO series lasted from 1989-1995, but the five-man Canadian sketch comedy troupe reunites for their first tour in six years, "As Live as We'll Ever Be," Sat., MAY 24. Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson promise to bring an evening of all-new monologues and sketches, but hint that familiar characters will make appearances, such as McKinney's "I am crushing your head!" guy. Expect no heads to go uncrushed. $41.50. 8 p.m. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway. 404-249-6400.
