See & Do - Comedy: Zach Galifianakis May 02 2007

Sat., May 5

ZACH GALIFIANAKIS, in Atlanta Sat., MAY 5, is arguably the most avant-garde comedian working today. While his unwillingness to follow mainstream comedy’s norms has kept him from becoming a household name, he remains a favorite among fellow comedians and true fans of the art form for that exact reason. Despite roles in Comedy Central’s “Dog Bites Man,” “Reno 911” and “The Sarah Silverman Program,” the North Carolina native is still best known for his stage work. His trademark set ranges from drunken outbursts toward the audience to clever one-liners such as, “My brother has ADD, which is weird because he drives a Ford Focus,” delivered over a softly playing piano. $25. 8 p.m. Roxy Theatre, 3110 Roswell Road. 404-233-7699. www.ticketmaster.com.
