Creative Loafing's Best of Atlanta Party

When: Thu., Sept. 19, 7-11 p.m. 2013
Price: $15-$20
Celebrate the best of what our city has to offer with hometown hero Killer Mike, who, after releasing last year’s visionary R.A.P. Music and winning Creative Loafing’s 2012 Critics Pick for Best Overall Artist, takes the stage at 10 p.m. at Centennial Olympic Park to headline CL’s Best of Atlanta Party on Sept. 19. Hypnotically experimental band Jungol (7:30 p.m.), underground rapper Scotty ATL (8:15 p.m.), and funky bunch Noot D’ Noot (9 p.m.) will warm up the stage, along with DJs Sofa King Evil (7 p.m.) and Martina McFlyyy (8 p.m.). The ladies of Minette Magnifique will entertain the crowd with titillating burlesque at 8:45 p.m. Conveniently, the park will be sectioned off into three areas — food, music, and art — so you can easily make your way from the stage to grab a bite from local favorites like Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, the General Muir, Waffle House, Chai Pani, and more, and then head over to check out video installations by Living Walls, WonderRoot, and the Atlanta Film Festival, which will light up the grounds throughout the night.
