Dance: Broke

Thurs.-Sat., Oct. 18-20

Exploration of self is the focus of a series of six miniperformances that make up Zoetic Dance Ensemble's production BROKE, Thurs.-Sat., OCT. 18-20. It begins with "Joiners," a foray into the id's self-involved quirks and struggles. "Once More" and title piece "Broke" channel self-destructive behaviors and emotional catastrophe, while "I Bought" examines technology and materialism. The introspective and emotional theme should provide a nice counterpoint to Zoetic's highly physical and technical modern-dance style. For more on Zoetic, click here. $10-$15. 8 p.m. 7 Stages Theatre, 1105 Euclid Ave. 404-523-7647. www.zoeticdance.org.
