Dance: Crux

Fri.-Sun., Feb. 20-22

Brooks and Company Dance stages CRUX, an original full-length work by choreographer Joanna Brooks. Heavily influenced by Arthur Miller's The Crucible, Crux explores the crazy things people do when they're scared. The witch hunt theme is developed in particular through the eyes of the children, who cause so much havoc with their games, and whose perspective is largely missing in the original play. There will be guest performances by members of Good Moves Consort and a lecture on opening night called "Deconstructing the Crucible." $15-$25. Fri.-Sat., 8 p.m.; Sun., 3 p.m. Theatrical Outfit, Balzer Theater at Herren's, 84 Luckie St. 678-528-1500.
