The glorified pueblo was filled with a mostly young crowd, an even mix of whites and Latinos. The dance floor was full of rumpshakers. Over the neo-Aztec drumbeat of a Shakira re-mix, I could still hear the soft ruffles of men's slacks and the chaff of jeans; I even felt the breeze of a skirt being tossed in the name of sexual artistry.
Dos is the after-work hotspot for Northpoint restaurant workers, so the place gets packed late in the evening. Ordering salsa courage at the bar was a stressful affair. Hurried bartenders, long lines of impatient patrons and deafening dance music can inspire drink-ordering stage fright.
Since it's a Mexican place, I felt obligated to try a margarita ($5), which was a bit heavy on the Triple Sec. Sticking with the tequila theme, I moved to a Tequila Sunrise ($4.50) while my partner had a Sex on the Beach ($4.25). Both drinks were smooth and fruity, and after those and a Kamikaze ($4) from the shooter girl, I was smooth and fruity too. I capped that off with a Rolling Rock ($2.75 bottle) and was ready to get on the floor to do a little living la vida loca myself.

Eugene, how could there be crowds if no one went there?
Pretty soon the Kimball House will be so popular that nobody goes there due to…
Hope everyone had a great time over the weekend and enjoyed some tasty food.
Whimsical? That makes no sense.
