All little girls anticipate their dance recitals, but few travel 7,000 miles for them. To support their own education, the MESGANA DANCERS, a troupe of 11 girls ages 7 to 12, comes to the States from Ethiopia for a Mon., AUG. 6, performance. The group uses native Ethiopian music and dance to celebrate its culture and raise awareness about the importance of education in Ethiopia where, according to the Children of Ethiopia Education Fund, only 35 percent of girls attend school. $10-$20. 7 p.m. Ferst Center for the Arts, 349 Ferst Drive. 404-894-9600. www.mesgana.com.
