From the country that brought you tandoori chicken and the hookah, the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center presents NAVA-VIDHA BHAKTI: INDIAN CLASSICAL DANCE. The evening includes performances of four native dances: The kuchipudi, the kathak, the bharatnatyam and the odissi represent the nine types of devotion to God as outlined in the Ramayana – listening, praising, remembering, rendering service, worshipping, paying homage, servitude, friendship and self-surrender, and all forms of abhinaya, or artistic expression.
