Does Georgia need a flag?

Jan, Atlanta
Yes. A flag is a symbol of freedom and of liberty. It's an icon. If a state does not have a flag it's really not a state. A flag is something each state has. It's a privilege to have. A state is not complete without a flag. It would make us look backwards. We already look backwards enough. I don't think it would be the start of a new trend not having a flag. Every state needs a flag like every country needs a flag.

If we didn't have a flag it would be like we wouldn't be part of the government. We could have our own state. It would be us. We wouldn't have to worry about the governments. Screw the government. I don't care about them. I don't care about this crap. It's just a piece of cloth. Why can't we just let the flag go? Screw it. If we have to have a flag I would like to see Frankenstein on it.

Heather, Atlanta
It wouldn't make a difference. Having a flag brings controversy between people. Who's to say people won't have some kind of offense to another flag. As long as we have a nationwide flag, that's fine. We don't have to have a label on us. Maybe [without a flag] it could represent that we're an open-minded state. There are just so many kinds of people that live here, a melting pot. [If we have to have a flag] slap a peach on it.
