Would the United States men's basketball team have finished third in the 2004 Summer Olympics if we had sent the HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS to represent our country instead of a group of me-first NBA superstars? Probably not (the international refs never would have let the 'Trotters get away with de-pantsing Yao Ming). We may never see the Globetrotters go for the gold, but we will see them take on their nemesis, the New York Nationals, on back-to-back days in Atlanta.
