Down boy!

Once upon a time, artist Ann-Marie Manker created delicate drawings of domesticated creatures: bunnies caught in too small cages, puppies and parakeets. Now a darker strain has entered Manker's work, which has morphed from fluffy to ferocious in illustrations where wild, vicious packs of dogs bare their fangs, eviscerate a fallen buck or attack words like "they," "dear" and "her" that float across her drawings. This year's Forward Arts Foundation Emerging Artist Award winner, Manker exhibits CATFIGHT at Swan Coach House Gallery. Tues.-Sat.; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Through Aug. 5. 3130 Slaton Drive. 404-266-2636.
