BILL ENGVALL is a good ol’ boy, and a funny one at that. As one-fourth of the incredibly successful Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Engvall can best be described as Jeff Foxworthy Lite. His routine includes a good mix of Southern humor, wholesome family comedy, and of course, a healthy dose of “Here’s your sign” (Engvall’s trademark shtick making fun of people for asking stupid or obvious questions). This month he starts shooting “The Bill Engvall Show,” where he plays a family therapist, but beforehand, the Texas native performs Fri.-Sat., JAN. 5-6, at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center. $35.75.
