Percussionist and New York-based Atlanta transplant Ellery Trafford explores such modern classical and 20th Century compositional masters/outsiders as John Cage, Iannis Xenakis and more.
According to Trafford, the show will feature the following: Two solos by David Lang (very funky/groovy in a New New York way). Two solos by John Cage (very improvisatory and atmospheric), two solos by myself based on text by David Foster Wallace. One piece by Iannis Xenakis (a huge, loud, hyper-intelligent drum orgy).
The program will be presented as a palindrome:
