Eric Copeland (Black Dice), deadCAT

When: Thu., Sept. 19, 9 p.m. 2013
Somewhat under the radar, Eric Copeland from Black Dice surfs into town on Thurs., Sept. 19, on a wave of hazy loops, vintage sound effects, and dysfunctional mutant disco beats that smashes into the shore, forming his new recording Joke in the Hole (DFA). Copeland’s solo work doesn’t veer too far from the Black Dice aesthetic, but that isn’t a knock. If anything his tunes can be more engaging, even more, egh, danceable — if you’ve got weak knees and a head full of acid (house). With deadCAT, Suffer Bomb Damage, and Human Communists. $7. 9 p.m. The Goat Farm, 1200 Foster St. — Omar Khalid
