Eternal Summers, The Beets, Carnivores, Mood Rings

When: Wed., June 8, 8:30 p.m. 2011
Price: $8-$10
Singer/guitarist Nicole Yun and drummer Daniel Cundiff, better known as Roanoke, Va.'s ETERNAL SUMMERS, bang out cool and fuzzy jangle-pop jams of a sparse but catchy variety. They even scored a minor Internet hit with the bouncing "Pogo" single. The group has a natural tendency to drift toward a listless summertime blues, but it prefers the term "dream punk"; a focus on driving, minimal rhythms reiterates the adage that simpler is almost always better. The Beets, Carnivores and Mood Rings open.
