An intelligent man wouldn’t hold a metal rod up in a lightening storm, unless, of course, he was also an inventor, writer, banker and one of the country’s founding fathers. The travelling exhibition, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN: IN SEARCH OF A BETTER WORLD, on view Mon., AUG. 27 and through Oct. 14, features 240 hand-on activities and more than 40 artifacts, including signed original copies of America’s five founding documents, his bifocals and a printing press. $10-$15. 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Atlanta History Center. 130 W.
