Schlock meets rock Sat.-Sun., SEPT. 1-2, at DRIVE-INVASION, the Starlight Six Drive-In’s celebration of rockabilly music, grindhouse movies and other all-American institutions such as burlesque dancing and muscle cars. Bands include the Belmont Playboys (Saturday), the Blasters, the Woggles and Gargantua (Sunday). From dusk till dawn both nights, the theater shows vintage cartoons and movie trailers alongside such non-Oscar contenders as Re-Animator, Teen Lust, She Freak and the classy-by-comparison Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
