Festival Peachtree Latino

Saturday August 23, 2014 08:00 PM EDT
Cost: Free

From the venue:

After a career hiatus to give birth to a daughter, Ivy Queen is back. The reggaeton diva who made a name for herself with a low-register voice and commanding presence brought female empowerment in an unexpected package when she burst onto the scenes more than 20 years ago. The new mother is still as feisty and self-assured as ever. “Motherhood hasn’t changed me at all. I’m still the same person,” she told the Houston Chronicle in January. Ivy Queen headlines the main stage at the 14th annual Festival Peachtree Latino on Sun., Aug. 24, at Piedmont Park. Other festival highlights include arts and crafts, international food vendors, and performances by Michael Stuart and Los Grande Cadetes.
